Our new app

Vandenberg-Hider is aiming to be an almost paper free Company by the start of 2020.

We already send many invoices out via email and pay our suppliers by BACS but it is not easy when we have so much form filing to do in order to stay compliant in all things to do with Health and Safety. Risk Assessments, Equipment Checks, End of day checks etc mean the poor teams would struggle to find the correct form and a pen and then getting them back for filing in the office was almost too much to ask. We had to do something – these forms are important and the information is what keeps our sites and our staff safe so KB and I had a look at what the alternatives were.

We have recently invested in a new app which everyone has on their phones and EVERYTHING they need is now on this app! Forms that need completing can be completed on site (even when there is no Wi-Fi) and sent back to the office at the press of a button. Information that team members need (drawings, site plans, CPP) to carry out the project are all on there and information such as our staff handbook, copies of our policies and team members training certificates are all on the app and on the phone!

This is going to change how we manage the paperwork within the business . This does mean that from time to time you may see our team members on their phones – and we ask that you see this as positive because they are doing their job and complying with Health and Safety regulations.
